They’ve clearly removed the requirement to have a residence in Northern Ireland then? I could have sworn when I looked at Danske Bank a couple to 3 years back, you weren’t eligible unless you lived in NI or had a postal address there. Sadly, I’m all out of making up any more direct debits, otherwise I’d just open up another ghost Chase account and go for it.

In the clickbait headline grabber, it should clearly state ‘Only available to residents of Northern Ireland’. Obviously, that’s too difficult to implement. I’m sure plenty of potential customers have wasted 5 minutes of their lives before finding that out

I got the switch bonus last time they ran this offer. I’m not in NI but managed to open a current account a few years ago when they were less strict about it.
For anyone in a similar position (non NI Danske current account holder) I recommend opening a Danske savings account then you can close the current account and remain a customer in the hope they do another switch offer. That was my tactic for the last offer.

My suggestion is purely for non NI resident existing Danske current account holders as a way to remain a customer while closing the current account in order to improve the odds of being eligible for a future switch bonus.
