Airtime Rewards

Is anyone else having problems buying gift cards for supermarkets from Airtime rewards?
I last bought one yesterday and going back today the screen is blank.
I am on iOS if at all it matters.

Same for me, no gift cards loading - seems to be a problem with their evoucher partner judging by the fact it’s happening on the giftcards subdomain.

I noticed last time I tried it that Morrisons had disappeared from the list too.

They posted on X, server for gift cards is having issues but also some retailers may be going off from the offering.

Working fine for me on android

Yep, back now. Still no Morrisons.

Those on unsupported networks can now redeem their earnings to a linked card.
I have changed my network in settings to Lebara pay monthly and got this.
I am happier with the cash.

Edit: Chase and FD declined it but Lloyds has accepted it.

I find that redeeming to Visa is fine and MasterCard does not work. I remember there being some rules (imposed by MasterCard not Airtime) around payments to MasterCard being rejected but I cannot find evidence now.

Did anyone use the Airtime feature “gift to friend” as it seems to have been removed recently.

It was useful to help friends cash out at £5 instead of £10 as I could gift them £10, they’d gift me £15 and I could cash out to debit card and send them the money.

The Lloyds card that has been paid to is Mastercard credit. So I guess that works.

It was removed

Many gift cards I buy are now just 3%

They reduced from 01 August. Sainsburys is now 1%.

Also from 01/09/25, gift card purchases no longer earn stamps for the challenge.

RIP Airtime Rewards for gift cards in that case. Not the best rates any more, fiddly process and no bonuses.

Lloyds has charged me a cash fee on giftcard purchases at airtime rewards from 31/08. And sadly I made a £100 gift card purchase this evening. And to make matters worse, today is my statement cut off date.

Last time Lloyds waived the fee and they told me to stop using the card for airtime rewards to prevent this from happening again.

Airtime rewards that time told me they had changed something on their end that made transactions look like cash, but had fixed it.

I am done with them.

Ooh didn’t spot that, thanks.

With a challenge of 21x £5 spends then, I’ll pass.

Yh I checked on credit card usage before buying mine.

I’m going to cash my £12 in and uninstall i think

I had these for three months up to July. August was 22 stamps of £10. I didn’t notice and only did my £5 randos realised later that they had increased to £10 each. September is also 22 of £10.

I am obviously not target market anymore.

From what I can tell, the more you use it the higher the target.

I don’t actually use mine much, so my target is literally 2 stamps

Yh my challenges, upon returning to Airtime Rewards after s two year hiatus, were 2 stamps July and 8 stamps August.

T&C’s did not exclude gift card purchases those months.

September, being 21 excluding gift cards is unachievable with current retailers.

I’ll stop using it now and withdraw all rewards when cleared, £14 in total, in 88 days :person_facepalming::rofl:
