As for Amazon, I don’t love them, but I do use them a lot, so I would consider this card once Apple Pay is sorted (and I’m eligible for it). (For that matter, I’m not a huge fan of barclaycard either!)
Can’t really see a reason to get It though as I’m getting 1% everywhere on the Amex and potentially 2% counting the companion voucher. 6 months interest free is about the minimum these days and you can get 19 interest free. So really the only upside is the £20 and you can get that elsewhere too.
I wouldn’t bite at £20. The targeted £50 is worth considering - suspect we might see even higher targetted offers in time. I had £100 once but that might have been from the Business Amex.
In terms of everyday spend, it’s good, but for now Avios (to Nectar) is a better earn rate, and the ‘on Amazon’ rates are easily beaten by strategically buying Amazon gift cards with discounts/cashback - although the 4% ‘during events’ thing could be useful.
Why? Credit cards aren’t joint products. I don’t expect to be able to access my wife’s Nectar account because I’ve got an additional card on her Nectar Amex.
