I’ve just this morning received an email from Chase offering me the exact same thing.
I find it a bit weird. I’ve literally run my Chase account down to zero, withdrawn all of my savings some time ago and I’ve just switched a burner Chase account to Santander for the £200. Now, all of a sudden, they seem to be taking an interest in me.
I’m never going to ditch my Chase account, it’s far too useful abroad using their debit card and I still have a Chase credit card, but seeing as they’ve literally withdrawn every single perk I had, they’ve been reduced to a semi-dormant account with no everyday activity.
Just completed a switch to Lloyds today, another one is going to TSB next week, and one will be going to Co-OP whenever they are ready. CO-OP have a new switch offer too if you want to give it a go.
Nope! I’m all done with switching, it’s become rather tiresome. I’ve got 5 sole accounts as it is and that in all honesty is two too many! I may yet just dump the LHV bank account as I rarely use it.
Plus, I’ve no more household direct debits for switching and I’m not creating fake charity DD’s. Santander, they have a list of DD’s that they will only accept, I had to create a water bill DD as it was to qualify for the switch offer.
There comes a time when enough is enough, and I’ve had a gutful of switching. I’ve made around £1k out of doing it.
