Chase Credit Card

Hi

Probably late to this but just noticed Chase do a credit card. I use starling for my banking and JaJa (Asda) for my credit card although I pay off in full every month.

Anyone use Chase credit card?

Do you get instant notifications for payments and credits?

Yup, you’re a bit late to the party! I got mine in February this year and it’s proved really useful.

Yes, you do get spending notifications.

I particularly like that when I make a repayment, the balance update is immediate.

My interest free period ends in August next year I believe. There will be plenty of use of the card in the meantime.

For me, Chase is my salary account. Sadly, the account has gone a bit stale because I no longer get any savings bonus so I had to move out my savings entirely to a higher interest account. I definitely won’t be closing the account, it’s far too useful, especially when I visit the US and Caribbean. I just wish that Chase would introduce Joint accounts but sadly, it just doesn’t appear to be on their long term plan.

I’d happily use my Chase card if they’d introduce a DD payment system with external banks.

I have no idea and I’m just throwing it out there, but would it cost Chase to have a DD system for credit card repayments with other banks?

It doesn’t affect me in the slightest personally as I use Chase as a main account and so credit card repayments from Chase just make more sense for me.

Yes, if Chase were my main account, I’d be good to go. I think I read somewhere that DDs aren’t a big thing in the States. Whether that explains it though…:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Randomly, Chase have just announced an auto-increase of my credit limit next month.

Possibly because I stopped using it since maxing it out and now paying it back at 2.5% minimum payments until May 2026, but the size of that minimum payment and no external DD capablility deters me from going back to this card atm tbh.

Still have plenty of room on my current 0% purchases card, and only 1% balance minimum payments.
