You’ve probably noticed, as much as I have, that the content in the world of Fintech seems to have slowed down. There aren’t as many innovations in the last few months as there have been, apart from the odd “AI” addition.
The forum has become relatively quiet to a point and it’s lead me to give the site some thought.
While I enjoy this site and it’s easy to moderate, I have come to the conclusion to close the site, effective 29th May 2026.
It’s not been an easy decision, but I have to weigh up time (not just moderation, but also time to maintain the site), cost and my own capacity (both time and mentally).
I want to thank each and every one of the users here for making this site what it is. A special thank you to our moderators, @Gallifreyangirl, @Dan and @Graham who have been amazing throughout and really supportive.
I’ll pop my own social handles below, I’m happy to connect and keep in touch, and who knows, maybe our paths will cross again in the future.
It has been a blast, folks. Big thanks to Matthew & the Mods for creating the space for us.
I only really do Mastodon these days, but you’ll find me at @gavin57@toot.wales if you are so inclined. Also, I’ve tooted under the hashtag #Fintechforum in case anyone else wants to follow it.
Unfortunate but understandable. Thanks for keeping the site running as long as it has done.
The market is saturated. Not much can be done about that, without innovation there isn’t much to talk about. Maybe we’ll have something else in a few years to come back to.
