For anyone with an Easy Saver, the interest rate is now 3.75% AER:
I’m hoping not. I would imagine that any negative moments have happened, and they’ll learn and better themselves from it.
One can hope
The consumer facing operation looks a tad moribund. Perhaps the plan is to sell off the bank and become a purely BaaS player?
Maybe a building society would be interested if so.
To tilt things the other way slightly, whilst Revolut and Monzo are flying high, they’re also some of the most complained about. Compared to Starling, whose complaints are relatively low.
So that’s around 0.034% of customers complaining for Revolut and Monzo and 0.013% for Starling. It would be interesting to see the number of complaints compared with the number of active accounts.
I wonder how Monzo managed to receive a complaint about mortgages, which they don’t provide. Unless it was about their mortgage-tracking facility, which is not the same thing.
Quite a large presumption to make.
Equally the big fish could get the same ‘complaint about mortgages’ whilst only being that person’s current account provider…
If they split the tech platform from actual bank then It’s likely to get taken over by one of it peers - Chase obviously has deep pockets from it’s US parent but Monzo/Starling have history & might be a shotgun wedding…
Huh? Don’t know what you mean by this.

Kill it with fire. I’m so done with this AI claptrap.
Currently in my Starling app:
A cash ISA has been added. Doesn’t look like you can transfer in, or set up automatic transfers from your main balance, so another chocolate teapot account to go with the Easy Saver.
Can’t even see the cash ISA.
I’m also seeing this in my app
@Gallifreyangirl - I have to go to Spaces > Saving > More ways to earn interest, and it shows up there
I think the ISA must be a phased rollout. I’m seeing the option today, but I didn’t have it yesterday.
Yes, as do I. Starling are certainly treading carefully in the savings market. Nothing here whets the appetite.
Finally, and I’m literally on the button to burn my starling account forever for £200 ![]()
Poor that the functionality is so stunted from a supposed fintech though
Wonder if it’s worth hanging on to starling for a little longer
I’m not using Starling but I’m definitely hanging onto it. I don’t close or switch away from any bank that won’t let you rejoin!
They’re offering me both the easy saver and the ISA, despite me not having used the account for at least 18 months.
Anyone noticed that you can no longer edit the order of your Spaces? I’ve raised it with Support and they were already aware. Working on a fix apparently. Baffled how something like that can be accidentally broken ![]()
