I think I am too, but I will have to check exactly when I last got one from Halifax.
It also makes clear in the terms that you do need a brand new account this time, and you can’t upgrade an existing Lloyds account.
I will have to downgrade my Lloyds Premier to Classic, then open a new Club Lloyds, then either upgrade the new Club Lloyds once the incentive is paid or downgrade the CL and re-upgrade to Premier on my old Premier account. Worth it if they pay out though!
Does anyone know if Lloyds have a maximum number of current accounts you can hold with them?
You don’t have to. Premier is not among the Club accounts. So you can just open a new Club Lloyds account.
“You can have a maximum of one account with Club Lloyds benefits (either a Club Lloyds account or an Added Value Account with Club Lloyds) in your sole name and one in joint names. No more than two customers can hold a Club Lloyds account jointly or add Club Lloyds to their account.”
I believe you can’t have Premier and any Club Lloyds account at the same time, with the only exceptions the Club Lloyds Private Banking and Mayfair Private Banking accounts.
You can. I have had it before, same as other people on the Monzo forum.
They won’t let you complete application for an account you are not eligible for anyway, you can try it. I ntried getting a second Club account and I could not complete it.
The Lloyds Premier account is not available as a joint account.
You can’t have a Club Lloyds account at the same time.
If you already have a Club Lloyds account, you can upgrade it to Lloyds Premier.
It’s what has stopped me upgrading, because I’d prefer to keep 3 x Club Lloyds accounts than have 2 x Premiers for me and my wife. I know branch staff can bypass the limit, but not aware of any other way to make it happen?
Also have a sneaking suspicion there might end up being a better switch bonus for Premier at some point.
