Tea Thread

So, I’ve recently started keeping a list of teas and their respective flavours, I’m interested in expanding it so if you guys can recommend any more (readily available: i.e. available from a supermarket or corner shops in abundance) teas I’d like that very much

Current list: will update the thread as I try more, Twinings Assam will be going onto it today. Also to note, the list is relative, if the general quality of good goes up, potentially some will be moved out of the category

Tea ranking:
Great:

  • Twinings (Earl Grey)
  • M&S (Assam)
  • Twinings (Assam)

Good:

  • Tetley

Acceptable:

  • Yorkshire Tea
  • Cornish Tea
  • PG Tips
  • Typhoo
  • Miles (West Country Blend)

Bad:

  • Thompsons (Punjana)
  • Twinings (Roobois & Honey)

Circumstantial:

  • Twinings (Lady Grey) but only if you really want an orangey flavour

Great:

  • Coffee, any coffee

Bad:

  • Twinings (Earl Grey)
  • M&S (Assam)
  • Yorkshire Tea
  • Miles (West Country Blend)
  • Twinings (Lady Grey) but only if you really want a orangey flavour
  • Cornish Tea
  • PG Tips
  • Punjana
  • Twinings (Roobois & Honey)

FTFY

My favourite is Twining’s Peppermint but I also drink some Yorkshire (Decaf).

Yorkshire Gold is the best tea. It’s superior to the ordinary Yorkshire tea.

Coffee gives me the runs. There, I said it.

Tea-wise I love all the Twinings Superblends

Lipton yellow label :+1:
Believe it or not, it is one of the best selling teas in the world, yet normally only available online here in the UK
(Even though it’s a British brand)

Aldi own brand berry fruit tea

Oh, and another vote for Yorkshire Gold too.

Dragonfly vanilla rooibus

Since no one’s said it yet, there is one I like:

Still not coffee tho.

I will buy some Yorkshire Gold and add it to the list next Friday (mum’s shopping day). In the meantime, I have to work through these teas or my arse is going to get a talking to for using so much cupboard space

About to post Twinings Assam listing.

Lipton is very popular in Turkiye, but I haven’t ever seen it here outside of Subway (where they sell a peach one?) that was definitely nowhere near my favourite.

So, do you plan to maintain a list graded on your tasting experience or one which reflects other views?

Tea > coffee. Yorkshire Tea FTW. End of :facepunch:t2:

I’m willing to take other views in it for sure

Clipper and Yorkshire Tea are my go-tos, preferably the former as it is Fairtrade.

Co-op Indian Prince is rather nice too.

I am loving peach tea by lift.

Has anyone tried tea pigs?

Yes! Teapigs Everyday is one of my regulars!
I think it’s quite nice, nicer than the other brands that is.

I also drink Twinings Everyday as well as The English Tea Shop English Breakfast - both are good!

Twinnigs “pure” green tea is rather lovely as well as being a fabulous antioxidant.
