Was it the repeated vowel?
Those words always throw me off. I’m pretty sure the only reason I got it on line 4 is because I must have eliminated every other possible word option that I spent a good half an hour just trying to find a word that fit and started typing various assortments in to see if it would accept it as a word. And then the OH DUH lightbulb moment happened.
Partly, but I’d got the first 4 letters in my mind and picked the wrong final letter!

Depends on your device/browser settings. They’re different depending on whether you’re dark mode or light mode.

I got frustrated and decided to try and eliminate as many consonants as I could on my penultimate try
A brave move indeed. 
It’d be good to see your workings later, if possible.
(Maybe the group could agree when we should be able to reveal the grid).

The only thing worse than a double vowel is a triple consonant!
I played my big elimination move on line 3. Got the job done but it took me to my very last guess. I don’t think there was any other word it could have been by that point.
I hadn’t been aware of the elimination technique described here today. 
Bummer, I should have tried an elimination line too.
