I phoned Coventry after the rejection to ensure I was fully aware of whatever they’d need from T212 to effect the transfer.

Hmmm. Methinks that merging accounts with the CoOp will be rather difficult if they keep wanting actual signatures.
Must admit, I don’t recall a wet signature being a requirement for any previous ISA transfers.
Nonetheless, I submitted the scanned signed form back to T212 on Tuesday, by Thursday my Coventry account was closed and this morning my funds were with Trading 212 and my account open.
That’s probably as quick a transfer as I can remember.
Well done both parties, I reckon.
Oh - and it’s the first I’ve had a savings account where interest is credited daily
On the daily interest thing, am I right in thinking the overall interest accrued is greater if it’s compounded daily?
Greater than if credited monthly?
I don’t think so because it’s the overall APR that matters
Yes, but you’ll still get their quoted interest rate.
I think all banks calculate your interest daily, it’s just that T212 are the only one that tells you and pays it out daily.
Ah - thankyou
Has your transfer completed yet?
Yes. Took a week or so. Counting from when I got the letter confirming the transfer in place had received my application.
I’m trying to transfer a cash ISA from Charter Savings Bank to Trading 212, it has been two weeks since I submitted the online form via the t212 app, but it’s still showing as “Contacting Provider / Transfer arrangements with your old provider”. Not sure if I need to give someone a call to find out what’s going on. Not heard anything from Charter.
Although it’s all supposed to be handled by the recipient of the transfer, I’ve had some success in the past by pestering both ends and keeping them on their toes.
T212 were very quick to respond to my query about the txfer process.
I transferred in about 6 weeks ago and pretty happy with it so far.
Are you further along with your application?
Sadly not. T212 are very responsive via the app chat, they say they emailed Charter to initiate the transfer on 23rd August. Charter tell me they did not receive this. T212 say they sent another email to chase this up on 12 Sept. Charter say they have not received any transfer requests as of 13 Sept.
Everything is correct on the transfer request form I completed…
That’s just bizarre. Time for a chat with Charter maybe?
I’ve done a lot of S&S ISA transfers and that’s the number one excuse I hear - “We haven’t received an email”.
I’ve even had companies deny that they’ve received my transfer request, despite receiving an email or letter acknowledging receipt!
Seems the GBP interest rate has increased to 5.05%
So it has. Well spotted . That’s certainly bucking the trend.
Hi @MikeZ when you got in that situation with previous transfers, how have they been resolved?
I have already spent too much time calling both sides but not getting anywhere. It’s annoying as I am losing out on interest.
I could make separate formal complaints to both parties?
