Time and patience! All I could do was keep badgering them until the transfer completed.
Fortunately, recent S&S ISA transfers have completed in around 2 weeks.

At least it’s not Hargreaves Lansdowne. Six months it took them!
My last transfer from HL (to HSBC InvestDirect) took 7 days, believe it or not. All shares transferred in specie.
Clearly they’ve upped their game. Year before last it was six months for me which was totally ridiculous.
Yes, they have been awful in the past, as have Vanguard and Iweb.
And up a tad further - 5.10%
Good news but why?
I think some competition with Chip ISA to be top of the tables.
They’re clearly comfortable with the strategy. The cash ISA is an offering that’s fairly new for them and they’ve been incrementally making it easier for customers to use.
I guess it’s small beer compared to their trading business. It surely must be building their customer base.
Their model of using three banks to store your cash ISA seems unusual until you realise that gives the customer potentially three bites at the £85k FSCS cherry. Currently my ISA funds are split 40/50/20 across those banks.
I’m genuinely thinking about transferring other cash ISA funds in.
I have a Santander Fixed Cash ISA maturing in five weeks.
“Might” take a look, but just feels outside my comfort zone
Out of interest, does the FSCS cover not reassure?
I may be doing something similar.
Just one thing to be aware of. When transferring an ISA to T212, they don’t currently offer an option along the lines of:
Delay transfer until any fixed/penalty period ends
As such, you would want to request the transfer at maturity not far in advance.
It should, but alas not.
I was the same with Chip, however, I did eventually join the hordes and use them, albeit it is empty again now.
I need to find somewhere for it because the way my current holder of my EA Cash ISA, Zopa, conduct their ISA business, i.e. to transfer, ALL must move, no partials, I am not comfortable giving them the rest of my ISA savings.
T212 are adding the option of single use/disposable card numbers to their debit card offering - which generates new details after each use.
Ok guys, I’ve overcome my concerns and opened a Cash ISA with Trading 212.
The incompetence of the customer service staff at my current provider was enough to push me over the edge.
Let’s hope it transfers smoothly.
Plus side is Trading 212 currently offer a higher rate than I’m currently getting.
I’ll then be ditching the other completely.
Good call
No, it was Zopa!
Three different staff, inside a 45 minute chat window, all with names suggesting off-shore and working to a script perhaps. Clueless!
The third asked me to send a screenshot to an email address, using my account email address, and then, after the auto-reply, I got an email asking why I had sent that image
Enough is enough.
Gives you a lot of confidence in their upcoming current account, eh?
I won’t be hanging around to test run it
