Hope they have good introductory offers, that’s the only time I will apply

Update and search in the faqs
Still on ‘we don’t offer them at the moment’ wording.
Oh well. Still, good to see it’s on the runway at last.
Surprising these FAQs are baked in to the application packages… I’d have thought it’d have been more prudent to just serve up a web page in app for things like this.
Yes, they do rather make hard work of the simpler stuff.
Could it be reason for very frequent updates? May be just to change a paragraph.
If it’s baked in to the package (as it seems to be!) then yes, that’d be necessary.
I’m sure others here who also look at the Monzo forum will by now be aware that Chase have changed the wording back to read that they don’t offer credit cards. It’s changed back in my app on the FAQ’s page.
I have just seen it too.
They are jokers.
I guess they could be having some people testing them. They were probably flooded by questions in their support channels and decided to first remove the wording.
To be fair, instead of folks working themselves up into a lather in the belief that Chase MIGHT one day release a credit card based purely on accidental or otherwise released words indicating they might do, just everyone tell themselves it’ll never happen and then one can’t be disappointed
Imagine Chase are the current Government of the day filling you with promises of this, that and the other and then failing to deliver. This is why I literally fail to believe what most people and institutions of any kind tell me these days because if I believed them all, I’d be an even bigger idiot than I already am!
It’ll happen eventually. They’re just not very good at meeting their own deadlines nor setting expectations correctly - the initial launch (of the current account) was quite a bit later than they initially communicated it would be too.
I can imagine the Santander Edge credit card might have offered something of a spanner to them if they wanted to launch with a clear hands-down market leading offer.
Santander Edge equivalent minus the fee and issued as World Elite would be nice.
I’ve literally used the Santander Edge CC so far for purchases not covered by Chase (two statements). One more to go then I’ll have a conflict of interest as just everyday spend then as usual.
Same for me, got cashback from some gift card websites which Chase exclude.
I have also paid for a holiday with Zilch card which has 2% cashback for that retailer plus the 2% from Santander. A curve card is also required and this may not work for everyone.
Has anyone had their debit card replaced due to having reached expiry?
Mine is due to expire end of October and I will be out of UK on holiday at that time.
I am wondering how early they get replacements send. If anyone has experience with this please share.
Surely the easiest thing to do, is just order a new physical card in App today and they’ll send you a brand new one with an updated expiry of three years from issue?
Or doesn’t Chase issue new cards with a revised expiry date?
Mine also expires end of October.
Interesting because my physical card has not been used in over twelve months. It is sat in my safe at home while I use the app one via Google Pay
Would I get a replacement sent, as some payments require its later presence, don’t they?
Though I generally avoid using Chase for those type of transactions.
I usually carry one debit card in case I ever need cash, or want to use pay at pump.
My main bank account is with Santander and they sent me a letter some years ago to let me know that as I hadn’t used my last debit card they wouldn’t send me a new one unless I requested one.
