They are the same thing it just marketing the difference is the interest rate, when I applied for the select credit I got £2000 with 30.5apr my lady applied for the lower apr one but she got just £800 won’t that be subprime?

That’s how ‘representative APR variable’ credit cards work - some are charged more than the figure stated, some might be charged less.

Perfectly normal for prime cards to have very small credit limits - MSE/HfP often has reports from entitled-feeling people disgruntled that Amex/Barclaycard (not initial) have approved them with a (temporary) tiny credit limit. Rarer for subprime cards to have large limits but £2k isn’t that far out of the ordinary.
