Just have to wait and see how other applications go and if they shut the secret link down.

Photo please?

Since most banks now have cheque imaging there’s no reason not to send cheques to everyone for all the occasions :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

That’s a good looking chequebook! I haven’t received mine yet, though… I hope it didn’t get lost!

If I received mine before you got yours then that doesn’t sound good! Could perhaps be the agent you spoke to only ordered you the pay in book and not the cheque book. Give it another day or two and if it’s not arrived get in touch! I was quoted up to 5 working days to receive mine.

That. Is. Stunning.

I told myself I didn’t need to apply for one of these accounts just as a vanity project but my goodness this is making it tempting haha

The get cash feature is now active for me!

Must have been time gated, or needed activating by first withdrawing cash using my card. Either way, I’m a happy camper with RBS now.

Now fully vaccinated, tomorrow will be my first attempt in reintegrating back into society by spending the day shopping in actual physical stores. I’m going to use the day to trial a scenario without any cards on me. I intend to return home with my grocery shopping some cash, and some bits and bobs from some local shops without encountering any issues when it comes to paying for my products or acquiring cash.

Have you got a photo of the front cover of the Child & Co chequebook, @anon62610374?

The front cover was just an address slip I was asked to remove and destroy, so I don’t have it any more! There was nothing exciting on it. Just my address, a note to remove it and destroy it and a barcode.

Right behind that address slip though was the first image in my post above with the Child & Co premium account branding, so I presume that’s intended to be the front cover. This page is also nice thick card material.

Something else worth noting is at the back of the cheque book are paying in slips with the child & co branding. And by that I mean the child & co logo is where the RBS logo is on the slips within the dedicated paying in book.

Weird how the cheque book includes C&Co branded paying in slips whilst the actual paying in book they send you is just a standard RBS one.

Ah ok, I was expecting a coloured cover like NatWest and RBS. I prefer the C&Co cover though if I’m honest. I wonder what the significance of the ‘Premium Account’ branding is? They obviously offer Select accounts (which is what everyone on here has applied for), and the premium end of the main RBS retail banking is called ‘Premier,’ so maybe that’s the official name of their private accounts?

I know, but it’s always been like this.

I think I mentioned it further up the thread but I can’t remember now.

It was added to the chequebooks a while ago, according to a post I saw on MSE. I don’t think it really means anything.

Technically, the division of RBS that Child & Co (and the others) come under is RBS Premier (which until about 2017 was called RBS Private) so the whole bank is effectively under the “private banking” division already.

Account type is then a different thing, where you can have standard or private banking accounts at the branch.
