What wallet are you currently using?

@mirodo
How is your Hide & Seek getting on overtime?
I’m thinking of replacing my Bellroy Slim Sleeve with one?

It’s faring very well. The leather has darkened a bit, which I expected, but there’s very little sign of wear. I’ve had it since October 2019, so coming up to 2 years.

That’s looking beautiful :star_struck:

And it matches pretty well with my Saddle Brown AirTag holder… :grinning:

Im thinking of going for it to be honest, i think i might be boring and go for the Black colour
I did interstingly enough also look at the wallet that @davidwalton is using.

I just can’t tell if the wallet is leather or fabric. Looks like its held out well over 15 months is a steal of a price.

I remember last year i always wanted to get a Louis Vuitton pocket organiser but it doesnt look like the kind of leather that will wear in nicely

LV leather is meant to age poorly, was talking about it with my ex. They want you to use it then look at it with disgust and then buy a new one

Another 1.5 months have now gone by since I photo’d my wallet there - and it still looks the same now as it does in that picture. I do have some wear on the very edges of the main card entry slot which may develop into fraying, but at that price I’ll just buy another one.

I have the same wallet as David, the Akielo Charlie. I got it in Jan 2020, and it’s in as good condition as ever. This is likely due to the fact that the leather has a PU layer on top, so if you’re after that ‘proper leather’ feel and smell, it probably isn’t for you… although for the price you can’t grumble. I must say though, the water resistance of the material has come in handy and it survives scratches very well. If you like the design but want non-PU coated leather, I’d have a look at the Vaultskin Chelsea wallet.

If you do decide to go for an Akielo wallet, visit their website first and you can claim a 5% off Amazon code. I should mention, I’ve contacted the owner of Akielo, Adam, multiple times before and after making my purchase with some queries, and he’s a genuinely lovely bloke. Wrote really long, thoughtful replies to my emails, with photos of how his own wallets have worn over time and all! He even sent me one of his new products that came out totally free of charge, which was an absolutely lovely gesture (and probably destroyed the profit he made on the original sale!). So customer service wise, really can’t fault them - and come with a 1 year guarantee as well.

Anyone interested in seeing a kangaroo leather wallet that has developed something of a patina over my usage? Also willing to post my Saddleback wallet, but I want to give it a while yet to further patina.

Go ahead!

Do we need to submit a request for you to make an on topic contribution? Sorry, I just find it odd that you’d need to ask whether you should post a pic of your wallet in a thread about discussing wallets…

Nope. Absolutely zero interest.

Got myself a Ralph Lauren card holder a few years ago and been very happy with it. Genuine leather so it’ll last long and get better with age!

I’ve had an old M&S one for years that holds loads of cards and it’s still in good condition. I don’t need anything fancy, me
