Algbra

I would of thought so too, but this is what they replied back with…

I’ve found this question poorly answered by many e-money providers. This is because they do conduct a credit search - but they often don’t know the difference between the two.

Yeah but :rocket: emoji! Who cares whether the answer is right or not!? :rocket::rocket::rocket:

This is beyond poor if true.

Revolut and Monese agents didn’t have a scooby doo when I asked them back in the day - although that’s nothing new :joy:

Panic over, looks like they’d been reading this thread… :joy:

I don’t think they know about this forum, but they do watch the thread over at Monzo, where this issue was also raised.

But hey, I think it’s pretty great someone actually followed up to correct their mistake. Not something many businesses would normally do.

Algbra sent me an email on 29 March to use Apple pay and get a £5 reward. I have used the card several times but the £5 is nowhere to be seen.
Anyone else with a similar issue?

I presume that’s the referral thing?

You also need to deposit at least £20 to your account, have you done that?

Otherwise I’m not aware of any other offer where they’ll pay you £5. Do you have a screenshot of the email?

No m.

I have put in way more than that

Well that’s news to me!

I’d follow the email’s instructions and get in touch.

Are there no terms linked in the email which outlines the specifics to qualify and how long it takes?

Keep us posted please!

There are no specific terms and conditions for this in the email. The only conditions linked to are the general ones for all customers.

I have just used their in app “chat” to raise a complaint and gave them the 8 weeks notice period before I go to the ombudsman. :joy:
They will reply “soon” via email.

I will give feedback once I hear back from them.

Algbra do donations now. Decent selection of charities too. @Recchan will be particularly pleased they spell Turkey the right way.

What is Algbra x?

My first post here. Not sure I like emails from them inviting me to donate.

I have just noticed that Algbra reveals account details of an account that has sent you money. It shows the Sort code and Account number unlike other banks.
Is this a good thing?

Agreed Graham, makes you wonder what exactly Algbra get out of it. Maybe I’m just a cynical old tw#t

But seriously, I don’t want a bank shoving stuff like that in my face, hence I won’t be touching Algbra with a barge pole.

I’ve also just been reading through the 1* ratings on that most famous of review sites. The spelling on some of the reviews has made me cry with laughter and pity at the same time
