Algbra

Mea Culpa (I suppose :face_with_raised_eyebrow:).

I’ll fix it…… :relieved:

Thanks chaps.

I have had 1.5% cashback on website gpay transactions where my phone was not used.

A suggestion for the TSB purchases is to make small payments to a credit card. I do this for a Danske Reward account which requires 8 x £1 or more per month. Takes a few minutes and it’s done for the month.

Yep, I like it there, although I mention that only in the context of acknowledging it’s the same establishment as I’ve visited (strictly The Duke of Cambridge, of course :relieved:). Otherwise I’d be drifting off-topic :joy:.

Can you clarify this for me?

Did this and they blocked my card! :man_facepalming::rofl:

Normally my transactions are under a tenner.

The Cambridge was close to £30.

A cashback for 45p will stick out from the 8p, 9p cluster.

If it doesn’t qualify, that 45p would not show.

I see no reason it won’t qualify. My cashback sums have ranged from a few pence (normal) to £2 for an insurance premium.

All good.

So: I’ve accumulated £20 this month, primarily at 1.5% under ApplePay. That’s £69.41 in all.

I’ll be parking up Chase as a cashback earner until Feb when we’ll know what algbra plan to do.

I earned a princely £5.94 during October, so am now shelving mine as cba with bouncing between three cards for cashback (Monzo 2% supermarket, algbra 1.5% GooglePay only, Chase 1% everything else).

My monthly spend on algbra was only £378, and that was with 1% card purchases as well so, for the amount I’ll lose by using just Monzo and Chase, it’s definitely my way forward for November.

December, however,

This is why I dropped them - I had three cashback cards and in the end decided to settle on one that isn’t based on a promotional period.

How are you spending so much on Applepay? I could only spend that much if I used it for all groceries, utility bills and petrol/diesel.

Just took a look. Apart from utilities (paid by DD) I pretty much put everything through ApplePay, except Amazon purchases which I put through Curve as I get extra cashback with them.

Algbra have given up on me returning. I emailed asking to reopen my account. They quickly responded to say no problem and asking for a couple of personal details.

Since then, radio silence. It’s been months of repeated chasers and new tickets opened.

If this is the level of support I don’t think I particularly want back in.

How bizarre. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

interesting ! must admit, i won’t lose sleep over it

i just think they’re lying to me, no way is there any reason they’d HAVE to close my account

Interesting. I dropped them a few months ago, it felt like a tab in the Revolut app that I had to click in and out of to access :joy:

I get better cashback through a different proposition as well.

best algbra description i’ve seen !
