Chase UK Discussion

Yes I know this but it’s not all about them, or is it?

Yep - in a nutshell

This could possibly be an unpopular opinion but…. A full Amoled Dark Mode in the chase app would look really sleek. Think about the colour blurs around the card for each account you have.

Just a thought

I’d appreciate any dark mode as my phone is default dark mode so is very bright when opening Chase app :sunglasses:

If you’re an iPhone user you can enable Smart Invert on an app-by-app basis. If gives a dark mode although some assets render weirdly. Go Settings > Accessibility > Per app settings

I have noticed it’s not persistent; so every few days/weeks you have to re-enable it again (but only for the Chase app).

Alas I am an android user.

Have never owned an iPhone.

I have always bought my phones based on their camera quality

The Chase Interest rate was updated today

Apparently you have to update the app from the App Store. Not sure about Android. R-

Mine updated overnight. Didn’t notice

I asked Chase about virtual cards to be linked to sub accounts so I can pay my recurring card payments and they confirmed in the chat it’s being worked on :no_mouth:

To login on a new device you need to go through the ID upload and selfie process again, also you have to use the same ID as you used to create the account.

I’ve just found this out after several attempts using my UK Driving Licence to login on a new phone was rejected as not matching my details. When I called up they said I needed to use my Passport to login because that’s the matching ID document I used to create the account.

I didn’t have to do this as I recently changed devices and did not restore from back up. I started completely afresh and there was no ID check. It was my phone number and passcode that I used

Oh that’s interesting, the person I spoke to told me this was their “new device login policy” to upload ID+selfie again for fraud and security checks.

Maybe I just got unlucky and was randomly selected for extra security checks? It also took them about an hour to review the photos and approve my login. Glad I wasn’t needing to make an urgent payment or transfer in that time!

May be it is something new but I did mine on 16th October. So it must be a recent change.

Just so you know.

Thanks, unlikely to upset my sleep pattern though :flushed: R-

Chase app has been updated again today on iOS. I’m on iOS 16.1.

It’s time to change the clocks. I think most banks that can’t do it online will be going out sometime this weekend

Last October and March this year Chase was online when clocks changed
