I use Chase as a full on everyday personal spend account. I’ve gradually weaned myself off of Starling which for me personally, has become a rather boring mundane account with literally no incentive to continue to use as an everyday account. Even the in credit interest is literally meaningless.
I’ve moved virtually all of my savings into Chase. I’ve almost emptied my Santander savings account as that is no longer competitive compared to Chase.
I look forward to Chase introducing a credit card whenever that might be.
As for the Chase App, I find it more refreshing than Starling’s which has barely moved on in my opinion. I’m not interested in different App logos or shake to get snow effects.
I was going to use it for the 1% cashback, but using the Nationwide accounts 5% cashback for the moment, till I’ve hit the limit for the month. And for spend outside of supermarkets.
Other than offer a decent rate of interest for cashback (1% or more:-)), and perhaps a decent rate/fees for balance transfers and borrowing, not exactly sure what Chase could offer as regards bells and whistles.
It doesn’t need bells and whistles. That’s the point. It’s simple, straight to the point. It’s not trying to be something different. It’s minimal and relaxing to use. I’m not forced products. No ads for anything. It’s just clean and basic and doesn’t add bulk. It gets the job done
