I’m probably going to use it as my daily spending card for the 1% cashback. I’ll see what the offering is like (DDs etc) in a few months before considering a full switch.
I checked TotallyMoney (which uses TransUnion) and it is there as an Anti-Money Laundering search with my full name, address and date of birth and title “unknown”.
I just contacted them via the app, after running into my first oddity!
I could not add my new card details to Apple Pay on my MacBook Pro. So I asked them what was going on and if they could manually verify it. They said that, at the current time, the only way to add the card to Apple Wallet is to use the button in the Chase app (that you see during onboarding).
So you cannot add it to other Apple Devices, like iPads, MacBooks or Apple Watches.
They then said, incorrectly, that you could add it to an Apple Watch via the Chase app. I’ve pointed out that you can’t, but not received a reply yet. I think they are being slow because they are checking with a manager.
So you have to do that and can’t add it in the Watch app, OK they may be right.
They just offered to talk me through it but I declined as I don’t actually have an Apple Watch (yet, like the look of a Series 7) - I was just asking how they expect people to verify their cards.
They blamed Apple for not allowing them to verify other ways “yet” and said to keep an eye on their social media, so it’s probably just a teething problem.
