Lol just topped up Freetrade from the wrong Chase account, leaving the deposit pending
Could argue it’s a pitfall but more likely I am just a thicko

Nice - speedy response.
Yes. They it appears whilst there is a few teething issues they are on the ball with dealing with mistakes and being transparent with a touch of humour.
Lets hope they acknowledge the quality of the card. Mine is only a few days old and its already in a bad state with scratches and scuffs and whilst to some folk its not a big deal. I find it quite important (Don’t ask why. I probably couldn’t tell you).
Yes. They’ll be shocked at that feedback around the card. Bit of an own goal.
It’s not too petty or unreasonable to expect a card to last a while before looking like its been rubbed against sandpaper right?
I may have missed them, but do we have any examples here of that card wear?
Mine not marked at all, and have been using it daily.
it doe’s however show up fingermarks something rotten.
Mine is nice and pristine, still in the envelope, as I use my mobile wallet.
Not risking it in my wallet after my wallet damaged my Halifax Clarity before I even had chance to use it.
How!
Do you store it in a phone sock or something made of microfibres lol. Mine scratched beyond repair lol
No, just in my 20 year old wallet.
Maybe it has something to do with the age of the wallet and how soft the leather is now.
(I’ve just checked my other cards out of curiosity and they are all in very good condition too)
I keep mine in a leather wallet and its very soft too. None of my other cards are in a bad condition but this one is.
Front
That’s how my Clarity went.
I wonder if same supplier/manufacturer?
Other cards in my wallet haven’t been marked like that.
Maybe I’m just lucky, or maybe it’ll deteriorate as time goes on.
I’ll have to keep an eye on it.
Has anyone managed to add their chase card to Apple Pay on an iPad or Mac? My attempts keep failing
No think at the moment only way to do it is via the app and as such can’t do it on iPad or mac
I wonder if the recycling makes a difference
Got my card this afternoon. It’s literally been sat in my wallet all day.
I’ve never had a card scratch up like this, not even store loyalty cards or council library cards! Disappointing, especially since the novel card design was a main attraction to Chase for me.
So you’ve probably realised there’s no dark mode (yet) in the Chase app. But if you’re an iOS user and you’re running iOS 15 you can do a bit of a fudge if you’re so inclined:
Go to Settings
Choose Accessibility
Select Per-App Settings
Tap the Add button
Select Chase from your installed apps
Then tap on Chase to customise settings
Enable the Smart Invert option
Go home and relaunch Chase
It works quite well but is far from perfect. Obviously colours and logos are off, but I prefer this look to blizzard that is the native app. Should suffice until (if?) they get around to implementing a dark mode. Of course YMMV.
I have one of the recycled Starling cards and, as much as I like to slate the geriatric Peugeot green, it looks immaculate after months of use. I think the lighter colour, combined with the strange almost paper-like texture to it, means that any scratches it does sustain are pretty much invisible.
My Monzo card has also held up well (although it doesn’t look quite as spotless as my Starling card). Again, I think the hot coral disguises scratches well, because if I look at the navy magstripe, I can see some hairline marks.
My HSBC debit card is also a light shade (mainly a pale grey with red accents), and it looks perfect, apart from if I look at the Visa dove hologram, which is covered
So basically I’m starting to think that it’s predominantly the dark navy colour (that I so love) of the Chase card that makes it appear especially marked. (The one card of mine that breaks this theory is my Curve Blue card, which despite being navy has held up just fine!)
Edit: I’ve taken it in and out of my wallet a few more times and, while I do think colour has something to do with it, this card is definitely especially scratch prone. It’s now more knackered than my Tesco Clubcard (which is also dark blue), and I’ve only had it a day
