Yes, I’ve just got the email a few minutes ago
Yes, just got email and signed up. Really like the idea of this.
Yes indeed. Be interesting to see the format.
Will it be Discourse-flavoured or Atom Kitchen-like or something Chase-like?
Not yet received mine
It’s the same sort of thing as Atom’s kitchen.
Edit to add: Atom’s kitchen is run on Recollective, a customer research platform. Chase’s community is run on Maru’s Panel Communities, a customer research platform. Monzo’s community is run on discourse, a discussion platform.
Not had an invite yet but i really like the idea
Hadn’t heard of it. Must say it’s not an environment that lends itself to interaction such as happens here. But I guess that’s not it’s purpose…!
Edit: All is revealed…. It’s primarily a “what do you reckon about this?” affair. Very Atomesque. The benefit is you’ll get to peer at proposed features and presumably give comment.
Our forum is safe and sound
Said I didn’t meet the requirements to join one of the first to have a current account with them, aww well
Just had invitation to join community and awiaitng activation email to join.
Same here. I don’t use it much but I do have opinions that I can share.
First one seemed painless enough.
Poll and a discussion on how you use the account
I too have had the invitation to join the ‘Community’, I won’t however be taking up the offer, assuming I were to even pass their vetting procedure. I’ve left a review on the iOS App store. The developers do read the critique and respond, so they’re getting feedback from other platforms.
Chase are going to have to pull their fingers out during 2022. If they don’t, once the 1 percent cashback is finished, they could find themselves short of a number of customers because by and large, most customers want a full suite of banking products, not just a spend only account. I’ve personally ‘earned’ £20 out of cashback now, a nice little bit of extra and it would pay for a cheap meal for one at a pub.
As most here already know, basic stuff is missing from the account, no Confirmation of Payee is a particular annoyance to me. I raised this with Chase direct and two different ‘advisors’ came back with two different answers, the second one actually being correct in advising Chase isn’t yet signed up to Confirmation of Payee. No facility to CASS, no Joint accounts, no direct debits, the list does indeed go on a bit.
Chase need to blatently rob all of the best bits from Starling and Monzo/Revolut, although I don’t hold accounts with either of the last two so I don’t actually know if they’ve got anything worth having in an account/App, and then they’d probably have a really great product. Chugging along as a spend only account can’t last and I’m absolutely sure Chase are aware of that.
I’m not debit card fan boy, but I have to say, in my opinion, Chase have got the debit card nailed from a design and colour perspective, much better than Starling’s offering and much better looking than that bloody awful colour so many Monzo fan boyz and girls love. And being able to change your debit card number in App without the need to order a new card, is simply brilliant. Starling could do with learning from that one!
Mine ended up in Spam folder. It would be nice if you check spam too
Added chase to PayPal and setup a direct debit and strange how PayPal shows the chase logo but not for any other account setup
Paypal shows logos for my Wise, Lloyds accounts and HSBC logo First direct
Be interesting to see if you actually get the DD paid, considering not launched yet.
I tried that and it failed a few weeks ago, so watching @dudesuper1982’s attempt with interest
Be interesting to see now that the sort code checker says the sort code accepts direct debits
Just got really fed up waiting for Chase to add their direct debit facility.
Surely something as important as this should have been ready from day one including the CASS.
They had enough time to prepare for it… I hope when it launches it’ll be worth the wait!
For now, I’ve arranged for all my DD’s to come out of Lloyds. I did have a few setup with Starling, but every time I open the app I hate that wheel and the look of it.
Chase is a much cleaner app and I have been hanging on in there for the launch. Lloyds is a nice looking app too and personally I do like seeing my branch when I walk down the high st. Maybe I’m soft
My primary account is with Lloyds. Absolutely no complaints with them.
Definitely looking for some real development this year in-app. People will get bored otherwise, and it mustn’t just be about incentives.
