Certainly not on my Android app
Im sure in their press release everything was built in-house. Im not 100% sure on those claims but that was my understanding
Hmm - I read on some Fintech site that this is what they were using. I’ll see if I can find it again. I thought that some of the other app screens looked quite similar.
I mean it could definitely be them and they have their own app style that uses that API
I have seen the same claim somewhere tbf.
Had deja vu when saw your post
Edit:
That could well have been it
Actually heard a Chase ad on national radio today
OK, it was talk Radio, so not exactly the biggest of audiences, but was still a pleasant surprise.
Mainly pushing the cashback
To be fair, at present, they’ve got little else to offer. Can’t really fault them as a day to day spending account, I mean, they’re giving away free cash just to use their debit card and if you’re pushing everything you buy through their card, you can watch the pounds stack up. I understand some folks have earned themselves well over £100 so far, which is not bad at all.
Someone here said that Chase didn’t take the cashback back after going back in time with Curve or after a refund but I have had the third transaction’s cashback returned after a refund. Latest is this Amazon prime subscription refund.
I had one during the week from CO-OP also taken back. I now have a negative balance for Cashback
So in theory if you never spent with them again - you didn’t lose the 58p (assuming your balance was £0.00 before the deduction)
I got this refund from Amazon this morning, so Chase took back the cashback I had earned on that transaction.
Issue is that someone said Chase does not take it back if you get refunds.
There’s no way I can’t spend again with Chase
But the cashback reclaim makes sense, doesn’t it?
Can you explain the issue (I may of course be missing something - it won’t be the first time ).
Reports are mixed on this. I don’t think I’ve had cashback taken back for refunds, but I’m not sure how I’d check without noticing the amount in the rewards bit changing.
Did you get a specific item in the feed to denote they took it back? If so, I’ve never had that on refunded transactions.
I had taken out all the earned cashback when I expected to get a refund. So balance was at Zero. When the refund happened it took me to the negative £0.58 (see photos in previous comment)
Had you earned more in cash back and transferred it out?
Yes I have earned about £30 so far. I always remove it as soon as it makes a full pound.
In hindsight it may have been better to not have done that and let it build up.
It makes sense that Chase would reverse cash back for refunds otherwise customers may just buy for the cash back and refund asap ….
I had one instance of cashback not being taken after a refund (some 50-60p, a food shop that didn’t turn up)
Since then cashback has been leaving as it should
