Curve Card

Hey does anyone have a phone number for curve ?

i’ve had quite a few fradulent transactions overnight first time i’ve had anything like this.

i’ve frozen the card and contacted them via launchpad but it says it could be 3-5 days it was weeks between messages the last time i contacted them i assumed they would have a direct number or a way to report fradulent transactions seperatly to ordinary questions etc

I don’t know of a contact number but have found Curve CS very responsive, certainly by the next working day in most cases.

Have you been able to contact your bank yet?

it says on curve faq if i go through the bank curve themselves can’t do anything and so they prefer you to contact curve thats my understanding of it.

its 20 x 20 pound tranaactions assume my card has been cloned every transaction is around 7-9 minutes from the last one looks like its automated i assume with no text message notification of any transaction it was done contactless Its a credit card thats linked so the money isnt the problem as they should all be refunded.

assume that its better to get transactions refunded via curve than the bank

also the first transaction is called ping for 0.01 dollars then the 20 transactions begin so i’m guessing its cloned automated etc

I understand. Will you contact your credit card company in any event?

I’m conscious that Curve is not a common entity and whilst Curve may well, as you say, do the leg-work, your bank will want to know what’s been happening.

Good luck

i will contact credit card once curve have responded not much else i can do given if i contact the CC curve won’t deal with the issue.

its not the credit card thats been comprimised its the curve card isn’t it

as soon as i locked curve they stopped

this is the problem with having a card like curve when problems arise what to do

I agree. I’m a long-time customer but I’m always wary about anything going awry.

agreed i contacted them early this morning via the app when i noticed the transactions

but i’ve also sent them an email to their fraud dispute department says its open 9am until 9pm mon-friday

the amount of transaction add up to 380 quid i’m suprised no security feature kicked in 20 different transactions each one every 7- 9 minutues should imo cause a security check or code of some description.

its obviously a well honed fraudster who knows the holes in security for cards

A reminder to anyone reading that you should always validate phone numbers you find from non-primary sources before calling.

Update if like me you’ve never had fraudulent transactions on any card and wondered what happens with curve

i was getting a bit concerned that after 3 days still no reply to my email or app message but first thing this morning all transactions were refunded and new card was sent out. They did send out replies to both app message and email.

Obviously i’ll wait to see the transactions refunded on the original CC i can see the refunds on curve but not on the CC but thats to be expected.

overall they have done well and at least i know the timeframe now

apologies for high jacking the thread

i think its made me less likely to add my debit cards thats for sure

Fraudulent transactions are common place now so we have to deal with that fact and accept it just be mindful what sites or card readers to we use with our cards.

Good to know how a company deals with it and how quickly so i’m reassured with curve

thanks graham for your replies its appreciated

What I do is leave a prepaid card like Algbra selected as active in Curve. If anything happens, they will get straight declines as I have less than £3 there.

Why not set the curve card as frozen instead?

They have that bug on iOS where by if you freeze and unfeeeze, it plays around with Apple wallet as being still frozen, then unfrozen and frozen again. So when that happens, I may not be able to make payments with Apple pay until it decides to sort itself.
Setting a card has no issues, so I choose that route

That makes sense and is something that would never have occurred to me.
