Free on Revolut and has been for a while now!
And the Amex card in a Bills Pot
Of course
Starling declined my Switch request to Nationwide because I had an additional account with them. I have cancelled the additional account and initiated switch again
So exactly what everyone here suggested would happen
Yeah right. I didn’t think they would stop it going ahead. I thought they would let me take it out and force me to close the other account but……
Anyway, I have closed the additional account and gone ahead to switch again
I actually don’t spend a great deal week to week like I spend on average less than a tenner a week on personal expenditure, so I’ve already decided to set my own contactless limit to just £20. I’d prefer to limit the amount of contactless payments too, like a maximum of just 3 per day and even that is probably one too many!
That’s exactly what Starling has done. It’s just made you do it in the other order.
Don’t know if I’ve missed something here, but I’m on the latest Starling app version on iOS and seeing as today is the day that contactless limits automatically rise to £100, I can’t set my own contactless limit in app as yet. I thought this would have been implemented like just after midnight or something.
Anyone able to set their limit yet?
Not as of yet.
Anne Boden, chief executive of Starling Bank, questioned whether consumers really wanted to be able to spend more on Pin-free transactions.
“Analysing our spending data we can see that there appears to be little demand for the increased contactless limit and that many would like to retain the same contactless limit or even reduce it,” she said.
Mine still says £45 max contactless
No, but I assumed there would be another app update today. The article above states
First, check that your Starling app is up to date (from the 15th).
and I took that as meaning that there would be an app update on the 15th. I may be wrong and it may be a server-side change, though.
Mine’s there, but I had to force close the app first.
All done. Happened all by itself. R-
Present on my Android app, however, as my card never leaves my safe as I only use Google Pay, I see little point in playing with the controls tbf.
