Here’s the new HSBC card.
I feel that the raised ‘bump’ is too high up on the card.
The card number on the back is very clear and easy to read.
Although i’d like to see the Visa logo be moved to the back.
(Ignore the ‘My Money’ on the front, i’m not eligible for an adult account yet (nearly there!))

Exactly.
I hate the arrow (although it’s not quite as out of place as it is on the First Direct card).
I don’t like how the branding is too close to the chip, I don’t like the emptiness and blandness of the design.
The silver looks like a fridge from the 2000s.
I don’t like how the Visa logo is strangely floating alone at the bottom of the card, surrounded by empty space.
The whole thing just looks odd and I miss the iconic lions.

I feel like they could’ve used the portrait lion cards like they do in other countries if they wanted a refresh? It wasn’t a dated design.
The dot is in such a weird place, and the arrow is just pointless 
. Most people know which way to put a card in.

It’s a real shame we aren’t just getting the portrait, flat, lion design used in Hong Kong!

This is printed on the back of the letter the card came attached on (albeit the card was stuck on in landscape!). For anyone who’s interested.

I get the feeling this was all rushed a bit, between this and the first direct card - are they trying to push customers away?
They should have a consultation of-sorts to see what designs people like, after all customers are stakeholders within the business…

I hate the bump on it. I like flush cards. That will poke through my wallet. It’s the little things that get to me the most

I still have the Lion design on my Google Pay image.
Don’t need the card personally, so new design don’t bother me

My apple pay is still showing as the lion design, will be interesting to see how long they take to update it!
